Privacy statement
In short: we collect as little as possible. This website uses no cookies and does not track you. What you enter in the check or the card maker stays on your own device.
1. Who we are
This website belongs to the book My Legacy / Mijn Nalatenschap by In Oso Publishing (INOSO), Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 98090798. INOSO is responsible for the data described in this statement.
Address: W.G. Witteveenstraat, 2662 JR Bergschenhoek
Email: info@inoso.nl
2. No cookies, no tracking
- This website does not place cookies.
- We use no analytics or advertising tools and no social media buttons that follow you.
- Fonts and images are served from our own website, not from other parties.
If we start using visitor statistics later, we will choose a service without cookies and without personal data, and we will update this statement first.
3. The free check and the memory card
The legacy check and the card maker work entirely in your own browser.
- Your answers, texts, photos and spoken messages are not sent to us or to anyone else.
- If you record a message in the card maker, your browser first asks permission to use the microphone. The recording stays on your own device.
- We store nothing. When you close the page, it is gone.
- The PDF, image or video is created on your own device.
If you share a card through WhatsApp, email or another app, it goes to the app you choose, and that app's rules apply.
4. Buying the book
The English hardcover My Legacy is sold by Amazon. We do not receive your data; Amazon's privacy notice applies.
If you order the Dutch hardcover from us, you pay on a secure Stripe payment page, where you enter your name, email address, delivery address and payment details.
- Stripe processes the payment. Stripe also uses data for its own purposes, such as fraud prevention, and may use its own cookies on the payment page. Stripe is responsible for that itself; see the Stripe privacy policy.
- INOSO receives your name, email address, delivery address, the amount and the date from Stripe. We use these only to send the book, email you about your order and keep our accounts.
- The carrier (PostNL) receives your name and delivery address to deliver the parcel.
Legal basis: performing the purchase contract, and our legal accounting obligations.
5. Emailing us
If you email info@inoso.nl, we use your name, email address and message only to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or performing your order.
6. Website hosting
This website is hosted by Netlify (United States). As with any website, the server sees technical data when you open a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you view. Netlify uses this only to run and secure the website and keeps it for a short time. We do not use it to track you.
A data processing agreement with Netlify applies, including safeguards for transfers outside the European Union. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website.
7. How long we keep data
- Orders and payments: 7 years, the legal retention period for accounts.
- Emails: up to 2 years after the last contact.
- Check and card maker: nothing. We never receive this data.
8. Sharing with others
We never sell your data. We only share it when needed: with Stripe (payment), the carrier (delivery), our accountant and the Dutch Tax Administration (legal obligation), and the parties that run our website and email.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may always ask us to:
- see your data;
- correct mistakes;
- delete your data when we no longer need to keep it;
- restrict the use of your data, or give you a copy of it;
- stop a processing activity you object to.
Email info@inoso.nl. We reply within one month.
10. Security
The website uses a secure connection (https). We keep order data only in protected accounts with strong passwords.
11. Questions or complaints
Do you have a question or complaint? Email info@inoso.nl. If we cannot solve it together, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the data protection authority in your own country.
This is a translation. If the English and Dutch texts differ, the Dutch version applies.
